Candidate Lizard Eater

Since so many of you have been on this journey with me, patting me on the back, (kicking me in the butt when I needed it, too) ...

I am in San Francisco where I had my meeting with the Regional Subcommittee on Candidacy.

Candidate status granted.

When I talked about my "support network," I was including you in that -- because it's true.

So thank you.

And now, it's a gorgeous day, so I'm off to go play in Golden Gate Park.

I also would like to pretend to be surprised but I am not a good liar.
Congratulations! Onward and upward!

Fantastic news. I just wish SF weren't so far up the coast, or I'd have come up to celebrate it!

Instead, I'd best finish polishing tomorrow's sermon.

Ms. M -- you are too kind. I was excited ... it's easy to think there's only 5 or 6 people reading my blog. I hope I get to see you again when I'm not quite so self-focused. :) But I relayed to The Husband your views on sports in the pulpit. He wants to come hear you preach!

wonderful news and I hope someday to get the chance to see you installed or preach at my church!

Not everyone makes it on the first try; those meeetings can be tough, so good for you.

Oh sweetie, I'm so proud of you but there wasn't a doubt in my mind. You were born to preach!

Of course you were granted candidate status. You're a woman on a mission! (with a mission?) Anyway - there was no doubt in my mind. Yay, you!

"Your" local futbol team, and "my" local team played played this weekend, which had me thinking of ever more sermons - bwhahaa - it will be good to cross paths again, and anytime you're both in the 'hood I'll preach over a cocktail! ;-)

Hey, congratulations on candidate status. It's a heck of a long process.

@Ms. M -- What's with this futbol stuff?!? I know you're an AL kind of woman, I know both the Red Sox and the As were less than stellar this year, but you should be talking about the Giants right now, not soccer.

If someone like you was nervous, and didn't see that coming ;-)...I guess someone like me should be terrified.

Congratulations!
