Fave UU preachers (with podcasts)?

Okay, friends. I have my handful of podcasts by my favorite preachers* that I listen to religiously (yuk yuk). They go with me on my commute to and from seminary and take long walks with me at the gym.

But I need more. Feed me, Seymour!

Who are your favorites? Who should I add to my podcast subscription list?

*my favorite preachers who provide podcasts. Ahem, yes, I'm looking at YOU, you know who you are, now start putting podcasts of your sermons up, please.

Who are you listening to?

The minister at Universalist Unitarian Church of Farmington, Alex Riegel is my favorite (my church and a great man, so I may be biased). Find his sermons and all the sermons from our church at uusermons.com.

Lizard Eater,

It's not just having the podcast audio on the congregational web site.

There are plenty of UU congregations that have podcasts on the web site but no RSS feed. Their podcasts aren't listed in Apple's iTunes store either.

Both of these things are very easy to do and very low cost (once you've put the mp3 audio online, it's not that hard to create the RSS feed and submit it to Apple).

A congregation wants the Sunday sermons online and Apple want to provide as much iPod content as possible online in order to sell more iPods. And I'm OK with this bit of mutual marketing.

BTW ... searching the iTunes music store for "shreveport unitarian" will lead you to our sermon podcast collection. Enjoy.

My hubby rocks pretty hard: uulosalamos.org, or search iTunes for the Unitarian Church of Los Alamos. Our web guru gets a little behind sometimes, but they do make it up there.

Mine:
Rev. Christine Robinson, Albuquerque
Rev. Marlin Lavanhar, Tulsa
Rev. Anthony David, Atlanta
Rev. John Crestwell, D.C. -- and by the way, where is he going now?

And Jess's hubby, of course. :) Be sure to check out his Gen X sermon.

Yeah, I see ya lookin' at me already. Soon as I can talk my congregation into purchasing some digital recording component to integrate w/ our sound system, it shall be done.

Has anyone out there in ministerial podcast-o-sphere found an inexpensive solution for this? (Note: my congregation's sound system has some fairly old components.)

Oh, and to answer your question, LE, one of the finest preachers in our UU ministry, IMHO, is Rev. Burton Carley of First Unitarian, Memphis, aka The Church of the River:

Also, check out Lifenowradio.org.

If you ever get a chance to hear Rev. Evan Keely preach, he's a good one. He was at our UU Congregation of Somerset Hills up through June '07, and our podcast is up on iTunes.

Here's a second for Evan Keely. He interned at our church.
