True anecdote for those familiar with the hymn "Come Sing a Song With Me"

So, The Husband and I were taking the ornaments off the tree. "Shoot," says he, "I was taking off several ornaments and one slipped off and went into the middle of the tree. Now I can't find the 'Hope' ornament."

"That's okay," I said. "Sometimes hope is hard to find."

  2. You were supposed to bring him that hope, and a rose. After all, it's wintertime.

  4. Hey, I get it! I actually get it!

The whole first year I just kept hoping that we'd sing a song I'd even heard before. Now, when one of the more popular hymns comes up, sometimes I don't even have to read it.

I can't tell you how much joy that brings me. It makes me feel like a Real UU, not a visitor.

In any case, your post made me smile for the humor, but mostly for the sense of belonging. Thanks.
