Apparently President Bush has decreed that April is "Cancer Control Month" in a press release.
No mention was made of all the millions he has slashed from the National Cancer Institute's budget.
Instead, he focused on what individuals can do to prevent cancer. "Individuals can reduce their risk of developing cancer by practicing healthy eating habits, exercising, limiting sun exposure, avoiding tobacco, knowing their family history, and getting regular screenings from the doctor."
Good for him. If Little Warrior had just gotten her lazy 7-month old ass off her blankie and jogged every morning, and if she had kicked that 2 pack-a-day habit, she probably wouldn't have gotten cancer in both of her kidneys.

I know you eat lizards but what is your policy on snakes? Seems like you could fix this little national problem once and for all.
Just a thought...
To the CIA regarding the above post: I have never intimated I would harm an elected snake, I mean official, in any capacity. Please do not bug my house or throw me in Gitmo. The above poster is one of those Unitarians the FBI of course does not have on any list.
(hiccup ...)
And, dear officials keeping our country safe, please also know that angry mothers of warriors and other worried relatives of people with cancer think anyone who would use their incredible power to shame those who are struggling is decidedly unappetizing. Not even with whipped cream would we consider it.
As for my file number - I think it's multi-filed under pacifist, same-sex marriage supporter, pro-choice clergy, and dangerous on the dancefloor. Hope that's helpful!
I love this post...LOVE it! Dang those lazy babies anyway!!
Yes - and those of us with unfortunate genetics should have chosen better parents? One of the Republican candidates who used to be Sec'y of Health and Human Services was recently in town touting his plan for controlling health costs. His answer: "change human behavior." Yeah, right...
