"Replenishment" Or "My Pond is Back"

In September, I visited my favorite pond to discover it was, for the most part, gone. Dried up, from the drought. A field where fish used to swim.

It's back.

Almost to overflowing. In some areas, the water comes up to the edge of the path.

It was a beautiful spring day.  I walked around and around the pond, marveling at the healing taking place.

Old friends were back. Birds of all types.

And joy of joys, my beloved turtles. Hello, Friend!

Wildflowers bloomed here and there; the whole area is green and lush, promiscuously so.

No field here.

I wound my way through the paths that have been so familiar, to find one path blocked by a tree. I had to turn back on my steps, go backward. That's a path, too, and not a bad metaphor.

Life can be brought to life again.
